Free Fire Asia Championships 2021 (FFAC) and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Invitational 2021 are two fully virtual competitions planned for November 2021, according to Garena. Fans of Free Fire throughout the world can expect a flurry of action in November, with more local teams contending for two coveted titles.
Garena’s attempts to engage viewers with competitive and professional esports content will continue with FFAC 2021 and EMEA Invitational 2021, which will allow teams from Asia and EMEA to compete for regional crowns. Both tournaments provide opportunities for teams to demonstrate that they are the best in the region and that they are ready to compete on a global level.
More local teams to be a part of regional Free Fire tournaments
Fans and spectators of the Free Fire may expect greater activity in the future, since both events will allow more professional local clubs and players to compete.
In 2021, the Asia Championship will have 31 teams from seven Asian areas, while the EMEA Invitational will feature 12 teams from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Tournament format
The Free Fire Asia Championship and EMEA Invitational 2021 will be held online separately in two different regions — Asia and EMEA.
Both the FFAC 2021 and the EMEA Invitational 2021 will hold their Group Stages and Preliminaries over two days, from November 20 to November 21, 2021, with the Finals on November 28 for the FFAC 2021 and November 27 for the EMEA Invitational 2021.
The format for both events will be the same. Teams will compete in the Group Stage and Preliminaries across six rounds on three maps: Bermuda, Purgatory, and Kalahari, with points awarded based on round ranking and kill count. Teams will fight in seven rounds in the Finals, with the final map being chosen at random.
